The urban composition and architectural content of Canberra fails to represent the status of an internationally prestiged capital city. Unlike exemplary capitals world wide, the Australian capital is not iconic in presence and symbolic of Australian identity.

Similarly, Parliament House fails to satisfy the purpose and presence of its establishment; remote locatios of Australia are dislocated from the ‘engine room’ of Australia and as a result have a limited influence on the direction of the countries development.

Establishing an architectural network across Australia can enhance and extend the presence and purpose of both Canberra and Parliament. Utilising mobile architecture as an agent of political presence within remote Australian
contexts can introduce an innovative and iconic mobile ëCapitalí exemplifying Australian identity through contextual response.
